The documentary “Para onde vai a reciclagem?” is an initiative by Electrão, which, in the year it celebrates 20 years of operation, aims to raise awareness and mobilize Portuguese society around the challenges and importance of recycling. Set to premiere on September 28 on RTP2 and later available on RTP Play, the film traces the journey and final destination of waste, encouraging greater environmental awareness and active citizen participation.

Produced by Electrão and directed by Plural, under the direction of Margarida Moura Guedes and with the collaboration of journalist Isabel Lindim, the documentary explores the main challenges associated with the management of packaging, batteries, and used electrical equipment—three essential streams in the organization’s work, which in 2024 also expanded its scope to include the management of single-use plastics.
